The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

SYNOPSIS:  This story follows two young magicians who are unwittingly placed opposite each other in a magician's duel.  They work together to create a circus that dreams are made of.  In the process, they fall in love.

AUNT SHARON'S TAKE:  The imagery in this book is amazing.  It's like a whole other world.  However, it is an adult book, and has strong language (and by that, I mean that the "F" word is used once), as well as some violence and strong sensuality.

RATING:  PG13 for Violence, Sensuality, and strong language

AUDIENCE:  Adults

STARS:  3

BOOKS LIKE THIS:  It reminded me of the movie The Illusionist, or maybe The Invention of Hugo Cabret for adult audiences.
